As Vice President at BoxMedia I was effectively a COO and Chief-of-Staff. Being the right and left hands of the 4 founders meant I had to roll up my sleeves and get involved in Ops, Strategy, Finance, Marketing and Sales. I acted as the tiebreaker for the leadership team; the glue for the organization; holding everything together; beating the drum and providing cadence; accountable for the P&L results; execution of the business plan and holding the Leadership Team accountable.
I was the steady force in the organization by creating organizational clarity, communication, and consistency; typically operating more on logic and driving results. Often, I had to force resolution, focus, team unity, prioritization and follow-through as well as acting as the filter for all the Visionary’s ideas; harmoniously integrating the Leadership Team and helping to remove obstacles as well as barriers.
I led commercial engagements with 4 Tier 1 Resellers (FutureLearn - $14m+; Go1 - $11m+; EdX - $8m+; Odilo - $13m+ /annum) which are responsible for the global distribution of our content.
I was also responsible for the vision of our content delivery platform as well as various offshoot functions, including Metaverse Environments where I devised Web 3.0 strategies and environments for Accenture, Sesame Street, Roblox and EY. I also lead the AI Personalised Journeys team that is creating “Choose-Your-Own-Adventure” assessments and personalised learning journeys.
